  1. Swyer James Syndrome : post-infectious bronchiolitis obliterans (BO) secondary to adenovirus infection in childhood. Unilateral hyperlucent left lung. For detailed differentials refer: Chapman & Nakielny’s Aids to Radiological Differential Diagnosis
  2. Peripheral nerve sheath tumour with split fat sign with multiple intralesional cysts- Schwanoma. Read how to distinguish Schwannoma from neurofibroma.
  3. Müllerian agenesis, also known as Mayer–Rokitansky–Küster–Hauser syndrome (MRKH) : Uterine and vaginal agenesis or hypoplasia with intact ovaries and fallopian tubes with variable anomalies of the urinary tract and skeletal system.
  4. Malignant stricture(Carcinoma esophagus): Shouldering and apple-core appearance are characteristic.
  5. Contrast intravasation on an HSG study :
    • Backflow of injected contrast into the adjoining vessels mostly the veins.
    • Not significant if water-soluble contrast used.
    • If oil-based contrast is used for HSG, it can cause pulmonary and cerebral embolism.
  6. Medullary nephrocalcinosis: Causes-
    • Hyperparathyroidism
    • Medullary sponge kidney
    • Renal tubular acidosis
    • Hypervitaminosis D
    • Primary hyperoxaluria
  7. Exophytic large mass from the rectum-Rectal Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (GIST).
  8. Brainstem Glioma :T1 hypo and T2/FLAIR hyperintense lesion involving the brainstem with no diffusion restriction and no contrast enhancement in a child.
  9. Cortical Venous thrombosis involving the superior sagittal sinus.
  10. Distal colostography (AKA colography / loopography) with rectovesical fistula and bilateral VUR.
