Spotters / Spot radiology cases are crucial for clearing your exams. Be it the MD / DNB / DMRD exam or other competitive exams such as the EDiR exam. The reason why these are important is that they are objective. In your practical exam, long and short cases are unpredictable. You may get a tough case from a system you have not prepared well. Also, your viva can go anywhere, depending on the examiner and your answers. It is tough to prepare for that section. All you can do is practice presenting and HOPE! That is not the case with Spotters.

Spot cases in most cases are all or none. You either know the diagnosis, or you don’t. Answers are scored objectively and not depending on the examiner’s evaluation of you (and their mood sometimes!). I believe that if you prepare your spotters well, you can secure a decent score irrespective of the rest of the practical. It is also important to note that spotters are usually the first component of the exam, and if you do well, you will go into the rest of the exam super-confident!

These radiology cases have been selected by a few of my colleagues and me over years of practice and include a few of the most commonly asked questions in the exam. Currently, there are more than 700 cases in the collection covering multiple systems, and I intend to add more sets gradually.

How many radiology cases are included?

Is there a free trial?

Given the nature of the content, there is no free trial. You can sign up to access this sample set: Radiology Spotter Set [Free Access]

What subscription options are available?

You can subscribe for 3 months or one year. One year subscription gives you nearly 2 months free. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end.
When you sign up there is an option for you to choose recurring or one-time payments. There has been one instance where a student had signed up for a one-time payment and he was charged for the next subscription and was refunded when they brought it to our attention. It is your responsibility to make the correct choice and ensure that you are billed appropriately.

What payment methods are available?

Payment can be made ONLY using a credit card or debit card WITH international transactions. All payments are processed via a secure payment processor. Most debit/credit cards should work for our industry-standard secure payment gateway (Stripe). If you do not have a credit or debit card with international payments, you can ask your friend or colleague for the same.

Can I cancel my membership?

You can cancel your membership anytime by visiting your membership profile or using this link: Cancel My Membership.
You will not be charged for further membership. Do note that you WILL NOT get a refund for the current membership period.

Can I ask for a refund? Is there a money-back guarantee?

Given the nature of the content, refunds are not possible. If your subscription was renewed by mistake, reach out to me within 3 days and I shall refund you the subscription. However if you are not able to clear your exam, you can reach out to me with your results and I will extend your membership until your next exam.

Can I share my password with my friend/colleague?

No. I strongly advise you not to. Your access to the website is logged and monitored. You can only check in using only ONE device at a time. The system will lock you out automatically if it detects sign-in activity from multiple locations.

What is the format of the cases?

Cases are presented as PowerPoint slides in sets of 10. Answers are provided on the page with short explanations and links to relevant resources. You can sign up to access this sample set: Radiology Spotter Set [Free Access]

What systems are covered?

All radiology systems are covered. Nuclear medicine is not included. Currently cases are arranged randomly, but I plan to update system-wise cases in the near future.

Is video explanation available for ALL cases?

No. The core product is spot cases with diagnosis. I have tried to provide an explanation for a few case sets and will be updating these regularly, including video descriptions. Currently, at least 30 case sets have video explanations.

How Do I Access Video Explanation for spotters?

I signed up for the website membership but am not able to access YouTube Video lectures

YouTube videos are hosted separately and getting a membership website won’t allow access to those videos on YouTube. However, all premium videos are hosted on our website, ad-free.

Why should you sign up for this course when everything is free elsewhere?

Good question. When you are preparing for your exam, you need to be focused on your preparation. These are high-yield cases that we have collected and filtered for exams. You can always surf around for free resources and learn. If you come across a good one please let me know so that I can share it with other residents too!
